THINGS TO DO
The Cape has so much to offer for all ages.
Here are just a few suggestions.
BOATS, KAYAKS and PADDLEBOARDS
We have both a sit-in and sit-on-top kayaks, as well as two paddle boards. If you need to get more, please take advantage of the many boat, kayak and paddle board rentals in the area. Nauti Jane's, located on Pleasant Bay, just a half mile away at Wequassett Inn. NautiJanesBoatRentals.com
BREWERIES & VINEYARDS
Looking for Cape-made beers and wines? It doesn't get much more local than these. Stop by Hog Island less than 15 minutes away for great beer, outdoor games, and live music, or dine in their Jailhouse Tavern. Check each location's site for up-to-date tastings, events, and more.
PUBLIC GOLF COURSES
With some 27 public golf courses and 15 private courses, finding a place to golf close by is no problem. I have listed the closest public courses to our homes. Both Captains and Cranberry valley are very highly regarded. All golf courses listed above are only about a 10 minute drive away. Please click on the links above to learn more about each course.
You will eventually encounter a rainy day or two, but don't get upset. Thankfully, there are a lot of great museums on Cape Cod and some close by to our homes in East Harwich.
"America’s League - Where the stars of tomorrow shine tonight."
This is the premier summer baseball league comprised of the top college talent from all over the U.S. This league was founded in 1885, 18 years before Major League Baseball was founded. You can see and meet stars of the future and all for free.
WHALE AND SEAL WATCHES
A whale watch or seal watch is a must when you visit Cape Cod. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a whale breach next to your boat, and nothing more heartwarming than seeing the "dogs of the sea" nose to nose. Click on the links above to see more.
There is nothing that evokes Cape Cod nostalgia than Fried Seafood, Ice Cream and Mini Golf. Here are some locations that are close to the house.
The Chatham Fish Pier is the largest fishing operation on Cape Cod. Come see the fishing boats unload their catch and go next door to the fish market to get some of the freshest fish, shellfish and lobster you will ever eat in your life.
